Specializing in Somatic and Mindfulness Approach to Mental Health
I value the strong connection between the mind and body and teach my clients how utilizing a somatic (body-based) form of therapy can be more effective in combination with conversational/ talk therapy. I practice a form of therapy called, Lifespan Integration. More information can be found here at lifespanintegration.com/

As a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Counselor, I also provide individual and couples therapy for concerns around the following areas:
  • Fertility concerns/ Cycle Syncing
  • Processing traumatic births
  • Anxiety about labor and delivery
  • Preterm or infant loss
  • Changes a couple face in parenthood
  • Childhood experiences that may be impacting parenting
  • Eating disorder treatment and recovery
  • Body image concerns about changing body
  • Emotional and Spiritual concerns in pregnancy and postpartum
  • Postpartum mood disorder evaluation
  • Balancing work and motherhood
  • Scary thoughts or self harm
The most ideal time to start therapy for postpartum concerns is during your pregnancy. I enjoy getting to know you and assess your mood during pregnancy, especially during the 3rd trimester to begin to process any areas in the postpartum period. I coordinate care with your OBYN and midwife, per your consent. I also educate and work along side your partner to learn how to support you in becoming the mother you hope to be.

Highlights of Perinatal Mental Health Therapy include:
  • Assessment of Baby Blues vs. Postpartum mood disorder
  •  Cognitive behavioral skills to support transition to motherhood
  • Education on brain changes in 4th trimester and hormone's impact on mood
  •  Identity formation in early motherhood
  • Emphasis on partner communication and support
  • Coordination of care with birth team
  • Processing birth trauma, unresolved grief from birth, or frustrations with birth outcome
  • Grief work for miscarriage or infant loss
  • Trauma work for birth trauma
  • Parenting support on teaching children emotions
